Graduated in Physics at the University of Padova . In 2007 he received his PhD at SISSA in Trieste. He then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Theoretical Physics in Heidelberg (Germany), from 2007 to 2009, at the II Institute for Theoretical Physics in Hamburg (Germany) from 2009 to 2012, and at ICTP, Trieste (Italy) from 2012 to 2014. He was the recipient of the 2012 Rita Levi Montalcini fellowship that he brought to the University of Trieste, where he is now associate professor.
