Graduated in Physics at Scuola Normale in Pisa. In 2013 he received his PhD at SISSA in Trieste. He then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Weizmann Institute in Israel, from 2013 to 2016, and in Perimeter Institute in Canada from 2016 to 2019. He was the recipient of the 2017 Rita Levi Montalcini fellowship that he brought to the University of Trieste, where he is now associate professor.
