Research Interests:
Quantum information, computation, metrology and sensing; Open quantum systems; Quantum statistical mechanics

Biography

Graduated in Physics at the University of L'Aquila (Bachelor) in 2005 and at the Sapienza University of Rome (Master) in 2007, and received his Ph.D. at the University of Trieste in 2011. He has worked at the Universities of Salerno, Freiburg im Breisgau "Albert-Ludwigs", Toulouse III "Paul Sabatier", Ljubljana, at the Ruder Boskovic Institute in Zabreg, and the the Italian National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN). Since 2022, he is researcher at the University of Trieste. His research interests are applications and fundamental aspects of quantum mechanics, e.g. entanglement theory of many-body systems made of distinguishale or identical particles with applications to quantum information processing, quantum metrology and quantum algorithms, equilibrium and non-equilibrium quantum phase transitions, open quantum systems, Bose-Einstein condensates.
