Biography
George “Georgios” Kourousias is a UniTS PhD candidate in Quantum Computing for synchrotron X-ray imaging and spectroscopy, supervised by Prof. Sergio Carrato. He is also the head of the Scientific and Quantum Computing team (SciQC) of Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste with main research activities on computational mathematics, imaging, spectroscopy, quantum information theory, and QC applications. He has prior Doctoral studies in mathematics and logic. He has a newly founded enthusiasm for applications of quantum optimisation and for the philosophical implications of quantum information.
