Biography

Graduated in Physics at the University of Trieste in 1984 and received the PhD in Mathematical Physics at SISSA in 1988. He worked at the Univeristy of Vienna, at the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies and at University of Leuven. He is now associate professor at the Department of Physics of the University of Trieste. His research concerns Open Quantum Systems and Quantum Information with particular focus upon entropy and complexity in Qantum Many-Body Systems. He is author of 160 papers and of two books, one of which with a recent second edition.
