Biography

After their graduation in Physics at the University of Trieste and the PhD in Physics at the Karl-Franzens Universität in Graz-Austria, he worked at Elettra as a permanent staff member till 2001 when he moved to the Physics Department of the University of Trieste. He is responsible for the Nanoscale Materials Laboratory established based on an agreement between the university and Elettra. He is a full professor of experimental condensed matter physics. Since 2020 he is deputy rector for scientific research and doctorates at the University of Trieste.
